About me
Rolling, speeding, action! These have not only become the words I live by on set, but words I live by in general. Over the years, I have developed a ready, set, go mentality that has propelled me through my education and into my career.
From an early age, I knew I wanted to create. If I didn't have a pencil or paintbrush in my hand, I had a camera. Art wasn't something I did, it was a part of me.
I directed my first film when I was eight-years-old to show to my family and friends. Not only was I a prominent cast member in the Nancy Drew inspired short, I was also the camera and crew. I loved the process but was pretty bashful when it came to showing it to my family members. Let's just say, I'm not an actress.
A little part of me always enjoyed a good story and the idea of "making movies" but I never imagined it would be something I would actually want to do when I "grew up".
Education
My ready, set, go mentality propelled me through my education.
When I was sixteen, I attended a technical school that specifically taught me about film and media.
During this time, I also took a fast track and enrolled in college classes during my highscool years, allowing me to graduate with an Assosiates in Arts and highschool deploma at the same time.
Afterwards, I attended Central Washington University, where I later graduated with my Bachlors in Film and a Minor in Art and Design.
During my time at CWU, I was awarded "Outstanding Achievement in Documentary" and directed an award winning short entitled "The First".
